Paramount and Universal Studios announced they are stopping production of films PSP UMD format. Besides, everyone knows how pathetic the PSP game library. The ringing of the bell for the PSP?
Its unfortunate that the UMD Progressive .. I think it's HUGE selling point for the PSP .. However, PSP will attempt to recover the functionality and the ability to watch TV and other cool accessories .. I must admit I am a big fan of Nintendo DS, but I see enormous potential of the PSP .. I heard many people complain the lack of original titles on the PSP .. but hopefully this will change .. PSP is also a great success in Asia (Japan, do not) .. So I do not think companies are ready to jump ship quite yet ..
With sony PSPs, is it possible for you to buy blank UMDs from stores and burn your own movies onto them?
I have just been told the PSP only supports UMD discs and I want all of my movies on my PSP. Is it possible for me to buy blank UMD discs and burn my movies onto them?
First, don’t go to the other answers website as it’s a bad, attacking your system type of site. According to a post at http://boardsus.playstation.com/ dated Sept. 11. 2005 they sell a UMD burner in Japan for $8000 (US currency, of course.) So don’t expect one in the US any time soon. Plus Sony would lose money if that were to happen.
