Hey there it’s great you’re getting a PSP but can I try to steer you away from getting the Go? The thing with the Go is you will be locked into buying solely from the PlayStation Store, where prices are set by Sony and there’s no competition and no sales and NEVER a used title to buy for cheap.
With the 2000 / 3000 series PSP’s, used games on UMD are plentiful and the prices of new games are different wherever you might find them. I like the idea of a no-disc system, but unfortunately Sony’s motives here are controlling piracy and fixing prices.
When the first download-only PSP game emerged (Patapon 2) Sony made sure the title cost less as a download versus buying the (empty) game case with booklet and download voucher. They claimed the savings would be passed onto the consumers. Now, simple download voucher cards for specific titles can be found at places like Future Shop, for the exact same price as the UMD version. I’ve also noticed the physical-stock UMD games do drop in price over time, but the download voucher prices seldom seem to.
With that caution out of the way, let’s suggest a few titles:
GTA Vice City (pretty good with 80′s tunes lol)
Patapon (incredibly original music / rts game)
Every Extend Extra (stupid weird music game, worth a play if it’s totally cheap)
Jeanne D’arc (strategy rpg)
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (maybe… this one takes dedication)
Hot Shots Golf open tee (pretty good golf sim)

There’s lots. At least with UMD’s, if a game sucks you can trade it in / sell it and recover some funds. Even if a game is good, what can you do with a digital download game when you’re through with it?
Nothing wrong with your choices either. Everyone has their own tastes. Don’t mean to scare you off from the Go if that’s what you really want, but I do want you to consider what limitations choosing that machine will have on your wallet.
