PSP Firmware / Homebrew games please help!?
Ok! I bought a PSP (my first!) On eBay with the firmware 1.5 to play homebrew games. I plug a USB key home games on eBay too! But when I try to play good PSP game, that says I'm update the firmware (with the option to do so), but if I do that, will I still be able to play homebrew games that work only with version 1.5? Can anyone help or offer advice on what to do! THANK YOU!

Why hasn’t Monster Hunter Tri sold as well as Freedom Unite in Japan?
The Japanese like to play games locally and subscriptions aside, why did Freedom Unite sell 1.5 million in the first week there, but Tri sold only 520,000 in its first week and by the end of its debut year it was still under one million copies sold.
Does the Wii version just suck or is it as I feel that it is much more convenient to play it on the PSP with others? As in local 4 person adhoc is easier to pull off in heavily populated areas of Japan than two person split screen and carrying around televisions and Wiis to play together is even a greater inconvenience. The Japanese do not play online seriously, when fighting games are released on consoles they still play at the arcades as an example. Trying to figure out if I want to buy another Monster Hunter game, but Tri is looking really unappealing.
Whaaat? The Japanese are just weird. Monster Hunter 3 is shaping up to be the best in the series. Famitsu even gave it a perfect score.
And you’re right, Japan doesn’t take online gaming very seriously, that’s probably why it didn’t sell as well. And I don’t think the subscription fee helped, either. Like you said, since the population is very close, it’d be easier for them to play the game via local wireless. And of course, the game’s portable.
