When you make a ‘Pandora Battery’ for a PSP you are basically upgrading your PSP’s firmware from the Sony company’s firmware to a custom firmware. When one gets the firmware it allows them to:
- Download Games off the internet and then put them in your PSP… With the company firmware you can’t upload these game files (A.K.A. ISO/ CSO Files)
- Watch videos on youtube, or videos in general… Without the custom firmware it’s impossible
So my friend is making me this Pandora Battery, but he says that I can’t have themes if I get the Pandora Battery… Any Help?
Extra Info: A PSP Theme is when you change the icons and background to look different.
By using the Pandora battery and Magic Memory Stick, you are installing a custom firmware. This allows you to run anything, including “backup” games. It provides all the same functionality that the official Sony firmware does.
You will still be able to use themes (PTF files) – these allow you to change the icons and the background. You will also be able to install and use CXMB which allows you to use themes that can customise every aspect of the PSP, including the number of icons, their size, layout, sounds, battery indicator, boot-up display, everything.
So you’re friend isn’t correct at all.
Simply put the .ptf file inside the “/PSP/THEME/” folder of your PSP Memory Stick. To apply the theme on your PSP, go to “Settings” => “Theme Settings” => “Theme”.
