ok. i go to this school and they have a wireless connection for the laptops, sometimes the teacher give us free days and they let us bring anything food, psp, ipod, etc. me & my friends take our psp and we want to use the wifi connection but it has a wep-key, how do i get it? is it saved on the laptops? i heard that i can use a laptop to get it but how? we are no trying to steal the internet, we even asked the principal and she said that was ok but she wouldn’t give us the password, i heard it is on network setting or something……PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
Computer Technician here……The WEP key is on the school’s network box. If your principle said that she cannot give out the WEP key, you’re pretty much out of luck. Look for other signs of internet connection on your laptop and try connecting to that. That is all I can tell you.
