Do you know a software to make my card as a portable WiFi access point?
I have a wireless card and an Intel Pro Wireless Belkin USB wifi stick, I connect to the Internet through the Belkin stick and a large antenna, but need to convert the Intel in an access point for connect my PSP to the Internet or use a VNC server. The reason is that without the antenna, the signal that I can use to connect to the Internet can be received, if any other devices that do not receive the signal, so I want the other car to work as an access point to repeat the signal. I looked everywhere but can not find the software to do this, at least my Intel. The lapto is a dell 630.
There is no software to convert a map to a hotspot, you can do is buy a repeater takes the signal and then retransmitted.
How do I extend my wifi signal?
We have a rather large house and the router has to be placed in the garage on the wall which is on one side of the house. We get signal through most of the house but my room is on the farthest side away from the router. I looked up many solutions on the internet and it seems that those things you put on the antenna with aluminum foil work really nicely. My problem is our router does not have an antenna outside of the router. Also since the router is connected to the wall all signal has to go through that wall before reaching the house I was thinking of making a large rectangle and putting it at an angle so that it isnt directly behind the router facing up but it will be behind the router at an angle. would this work? are there any other solutions I really want to use the wifi on my ipod and psp in my room but I am far away from the router.
You can use these plugs to extend your network. It’s more secure and faster. http://www.mutek.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_Ethernet_Mains_network_adaptor.html
