What is the XMB?
You can either go to the settings on the xmb and go all the way up. There you should see an option that says system update. Note you need wireless internet access to do this. Another way of doing it is downloading the update from playstation.com and saving it onto your memory stick for the psp. The last thing you could try is getting one of the newer psp games. The newer ones have the update and when you try to play one, it should say that you need to update and take you to an update screen.
