How do I upgrade to the latest custom firmware for the PSP?

I have a PSP 1000 with 3.4 oe-a custom firmware installed, but I would like upgrade to the latest custom firmware. How I can do and it is possible without a Pandora battery? Best answer gets 5 stars!

Well, I recommend getting a custom firmware M33. For what should reinstall the original firmware 5.00 everything above that, then re-install a custom firmware (5.00 M33-4) and then upgrade through the network to get 5.00 M33-6

how to update my psp 1000? its currently at version 3.50.?

ive tried downloading other versions but nth works. it will say ‘ the game could not be started (80020148)

you could put the memory card into your computer and download the new version off the playstation website.
