My modem restarts continuously?!?! It really bothers me?
Well me and my brother share a modem. It has a yellow wire is connected 3 and to your PSP is connected to the modem. There is another yellow wire conncects to your computer. It is my blue cable that connects to the computer in the room neighbor. Why is reboot ?!?!?! It was good, but just started to restart wheneever go on the internet. I open Internet Explorer, it is ok. This is when I go to Facebook restarts. Please help me i embarrassing death can not do anything on the computer without turning it off. My brother is home from his friend. I unplugged all the cables. Act now, but even if every time I now have two tabs restarts. I did not help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably a bad modem. Call your ISP Internet and replace it or have a look.
why wont wikipedia work?
when i try to go on wikipedia, it says that internet explorer cannot display the web page
but if i try it on any other computer it works perfectly, it even works an a psp so why cant a laptop access it
Works perfectly here; as far as I can tell, it’s just you. I don’t know precisely what the problem is, but I’ll give you some of the basic first steps that any good computer person would give you for this kind of problem, the first steps that will clear up most things. (See also < http://xkcd.com/627/ > for some humorous perspective)
First, go to your settings in Internet Explorer and clear all your “Temporary Internet files” or whatever IE calls them these days. Then close Internet Explorer completely before trying to access Wikipedia again.
If that doesn’t work, reset your Internet connection (at the level of the modem; don’t just go off wifi) and restart your computer. It’s possible that there’s some system-level problem, and restarting computer and modem will probably help eliminate that.
Finally, try switching to a better browser. Internet Explorer is *infamous* as the worst of the major browsers. Try Safari, Firefox—even Chrome. Do yourself a favour and ditch Internet Explorer even if it doesn’t help you with this problem. You won’t regret it.
If nothing helps, wait a while and try again. Some problems happen at the level of the ISP, and I’ve seen a few myself.
