Orbitsound T3 Portable Stereo Speakers
Orbitsound argues that headphones are not really stereo – just two separated mono signals clamped to your ears. The orbitsound T3. No bigger than a mobile phone, you simply wear the T3 around your neck and plug in your iPod, Walkman, music phone, personal media player, PSP – anything that plays stereo sound on the move.
orbitsound uses amazing airSOUND ‘single point stereo’technology to power the personal stereo aura. A unique BODYSOUND effect uses your own body to reinforce the sound when worn around your neck. And when you do need to listenwith headphones, you can plug them into the orbitsound and BODYSOUND switches in a deep sub sensation to enhance the sound.
The T3 also provides a high quality sound system on a desktop, with a PC, laptop, TV, music or video player. Great in the office or a hotel room, the T3 sits flat on a desktop and fills the whole room with spatial stereo sound.
The problem with personal music systems like the iPod or the Walkman is that you have to wear headphones. And the trouble with headphones is that they are not really stereo – just two separated mono signals clamped to your ears.
Listening to stereo means hearing the sound from both speakers with both ears – that’s what gives you the stereo soundfield in between the speakers. With headphones you can only hear the left speaker signal in the left ear and the right speaker in the right: most people therefore hear the sound in the middle or back of their head, as opposed to in front and around you where the soundstage is supposed to be. With the orbitsound™ T3, the music is literally in the air, all around your head. This means that the sound from the T3 is a real spatial stereo soundfield. With the T3 you are not isolated from the environmental sounds around you, as you are with headphones; you can listen to your entertainment and still be aware of traffic noise and people around or behind you in the street.
With the orbitsound™ T3 you can share music on your personal media player with friends, in high quality stereo, by placing it on any flat surface – no more passing round the single headphone earpiece or listening on a tiny speaker on a mobile phone.

Measuring just 107 x 60 x 27 mm and weighing 130 g, the orbitsound™ T3 is powered by a lithium rechargeable
battery providing up to 10 hours playing time on a single charge.
The orbitsound™ T3 hangs around your neck on a lanyard with a cool hold and release grip, that tightly secures the T3 when in worn and also allows you to easily release it to store away in your pocket or your bag.
Styled by a leading young UK design house, the T3 exhibits a compact form and sense of minimalist cool that belies the technology beneath its skin. The silver colour scheme and metallic finish further enhance its gadget icon status.
