Do I need to hack my PSP to play downloaded games?

I just bought a PSP 2000 Slim and I wondered if I had hack to play games I downloaded. If I pay online to download full PSP games, I can put them directly on the Memory Stick and play right away or do I need to hack the PSP before playing with them? For example, I have to pay $ 30 to download full PSP games 5. If I put the games in my memory, I can play on the PSP, or do I hack first?
