My psp slim brick by screwing flash0?

I'll try anything, but not a new PSP and pls answer me funny, I'm not dead here

I did not know there is a way to fix a brick psp, I thought I should get a new one.

No PSP folder, PSP homebrew geniuses help!?

All right, so recently i got a mod chip installed on my PSP for about $40, it must be the one of the high quality ones, anyway, my Firmware of my psp right now is 3.71 m33-2 VSH… i dont know why theres a VSH included in the firmware but i wanted to put custom XmB(Theme) on the psp but when i connect it to my computer, theres no Psp folder! the only folders there are is Data,Dic,font,Kd,vsh. (yes i opened up all teh folders and looked inside the psp folder is still not there)

Question is, how do i get my xmb, my videos, my pictures, and my songs taken out or put in? i mean theres no music folder to drag it out of..

Please answer if you’re a real homebrew nut, im lookin for a good fix :/

before i answer your question…bad mistake on buying a mod chip…don’t need it…every psp can be downgrade now without a mod chip. Couple tips from me…plug in your psp…do what the guide says exactly…this is the old fashion and really the best way to do this. This guide will help you but do remember you can brick your psp…but thats alright dark alex has a universal unbricker (for slim and fat so don’t worry about which one). Here is the unbricker in cause you screw up: http://www.qj.net/Despertar-del-Cementerio-universal-unbricker-version-4-released/pg/49/aid/112081

Thank nephron…he made the guide. If you really mess up your psp…its not my fault…i am not responsible…i just saying that to save my butt lol.

This guide will teach anyone how to install their own custom xmb theme. Since everyone keeps on asking me on how to do this, i decided to make a guide to teach everyone, no matter how much skill they have, on how to install their own xmb!

Tips and Tricks

My 01-12.bmp is too big of a file and wont show up on my psp!
Get your picture
Open it in any image editing program (eg: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], paint, etc.)
Press File -> Save As…
Now save it as a .PNG (this will compress it)
Save it to your desktop and name it whatever you want (still a .PNG)
Now, right click on the picture, lets say its named 01-12.png
Click Rename, and rename it to .bmp
It should be like this: 01-12.png —> 01-12.bmp
The [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] will read this as a .BMP even though it is compressed as a .PNG
Now check the file size
I Cant change my file extension!
On the Tools menu in My Computer or Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
Click the View Tab
Clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box.
Now you will be able to change your extensions!
I have a White background but i can see my icons!
Turn on your PSP
Go to Settings
Scroll down to Theme Setting and select it
Press on Themes
In the menu there where there used to be green, red, silver, etc, the second box should be white
Press on the white box
You should now see your background and your waves
My Icons dont show up!
That means that they are not for your firmware or something happened to them
To fix, either download another one from another site or get another set for your custom firmware version
For example, 3.03 OE-C icons wont work on 3.40 OE-A icons.
You cand either download another pair or use a converter to convert your icons.
I get a blue screen or i cant enter my XMB

1st way: (Your Backup)

Open your backup folder and get the Resource folder
Right click on it and select copy
Access recovery and Flash0
Enter the VSH folder
Right click any where there is white space
Slect paste
A message will pop up
Select Overide All
If it still continues, do it for the Fonts folder or if you know what the file is, do it for that certain file
2nd way: (Go back to 1.5, this will fix everything)
Download the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Go into recovery or XMB and access your usb
Put the RECOVERY folder in the PSP/GAME folder which should include the UPDATE.PBP which is the 1.50 update eboot
Close ur USB and access your Recovery menu
Make sure you have 75% battery left becuase this will flash your psp and format ur flash0
Click on Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP
Do not turn off your psp. Let it go untill it asks for you to restart manually.
Check your PSP Settings and you should be back at 1.5
Now you have a choice of staying at 1.5 or going back up again to 3.03 OE-C.
Where can i get icons, backgrounds, waves, etc.?
