Ok, I have a Dell desktop with Windows XP installed. What's the matter is that you have a WiFi antenna back. It can receive and use a signal perfectly. But I connected to a cable connection. So I wonder if there is a type of program I could use it to take the cable signal coming into the PC and send it to the antenna as a wireless signal i could connect to a PSP or a laptop. Yes you can set up an ad hoc, but the instructions of the state, comes with the disadvantage of requiring cable box to always be NY have an Internet connection. I think it would not be a problem.

i guess there’s free wi fi where i live, but i have a desktop computer and it’s not set up for that. looking for the most cheap way to do this, so i’ve been searching ebay. i found the following:

it’s free in the clubhouse, which is about 15 feet away. that’s within a close enough distance to work on my computer right? it’s an apartment complex. thanks for the answer about the adapter
