You created a user name or WEP password incorrectly. try to delete the connection and make a new one when it is first make sure about the modem.

ya u need a connection like internet then u need the password for example :wep key but dont worry i had same problem u dont need anything else besides a connection and ur psp this is wat i did my internet connection did not work either so i went to the internet menu and clicked scan for ssid of the access point then u find one (these are probably ur neighbours)that has no connection it should say none under the connection coloumn then select and just use that one thats wat i did anyway its easy once you figure it out or if urs has no connection u can use it to
