Ok I'm currenlty running the most basic DSL. I have the standard modem and a Linksys wireless router. Both teams are using, connection to Ethernet cables. But a team has a long cable across a room and the whole room (before I understood without lol cable). From Anyway, I'm looking in to FiOS. My question is how can I make it work with this configuration. I spoke with a representative. and was told that the power of the router but I'm not sure that is wireless. "Ethernet cable I can use my team present further? Is availability of Wi-Fi so you can use my ps3/psp/ds/iphone?
OK the truth is right … The router is a ActionTec Wireless Router, Stand b / G Yes, it is compatible with the PS3 / PSP / iPhone and all those other things IF: Use existing Ethernet cables .. ditch the modem, Linksys and a work of art .. With FiOS you can choose (up to 50 MB) makes sure you install the router in the center of your home. so you have coverage Wi-Fi .. anywho Hope this helps …
Linksys WRT54G wireless router setup help!!!?
ok, so i set up the Linksys WRT54G wire to my Mac.
My Mac’s internet is from a cable hooking up to a cable box.
I put the Ethernet cable that came with the Linksys into one of the ports of the cable box.
and then unhooked th cable that provides internet to the computer from the cable box and hooked it into one of the 4 ports in the back of the wireless router.
I finally put in the IP address into the address bar and went through all the settings .
But then when i tried to continue to go onto other sites after the setup, the internet wasnt working.
Then i tried the internet on my PSP and it wasnt working either.
Whats the problem??
What am i doing wrong??
What do i need to do??
Your connection should be from the cable box the cat5 wire goes to the wan or internet port of the router.
The cable from the computer goes to one of the 4 ports on the back of the router.
Nothing will access the internet until you get this configured correctly.
You may have to go through the Linksys getting started section to actually connect to the internet.
Good luck
