Sony PSP Custom Theme Converter?
I'm using the GIMP to create custom themes for my psp. I have an icon for work but I am trying to put a telescope icon in the photo. I tried to flatten the image if it is not transparent and indexed repeatedly. after all it tells me my icon is a png image, 461 bytes, and is not transparent. and drag the image in a folder custom theme for the photo in the custom theme creator and I get the error message. what is wrong? So if you have a good web sight where u get the icons for custom themes, please let me know

Info on custom firmware 3.21 for PS3?
I’ve read something about custom firmware for the PS3. I got PSN but I’m not going to update due to I got Linux on my PS3 and 3.21 removes that feature. My console is currently running 3.15 due to my refusal to update. The custom firmware I read is being created by geohot (creator of blackra1n jailbreak for iPhone/ iPod Touch). What I read is that he’s bringing back Other OS for the PS3. Another thing I read is he will enable CXMB (just like on a PSP) on the PS3 and be able to install custom themes with custom text and font, XMB layout, and XMB wave. Should I wait for this custom firmware to be released or wait for Sony to release an update worth while and is worth losing Other OS.
Don’t get your hopes up on Geohot actually releasing that hack, it’s unknown if it’s even real and if it is what’s required just to get it to work. Not to mention the fact since making custom firmware involves reverse engineering the official firmware, Sony has grounds to block the firmware’s release/sue him into the ground so I wouldn’t be surprised if it never sees a release.
I would say upgrade it now or wait for something you deem “worthwhile” but don’t think Sony is going to keep the loopholes open that allow people to still use 3.15 on the PlayStation Network. There’s already been a few reports of people not being able to access the PlayStation Network using bypass methods.
