The wireless modem Comcast? I work close to home and I use my PSP. "I can or I have wifi?
I have Comcast internet home. I get the Sony PSP, as it can access the Internet. I work right next to my house in another building. Do I need equipment Wireless or my psp pick up a signal from my Comcast modem? I am not very computer literate and would appreciate any help.
Comcast modems usually takes that the offer of a team. There are routers (for multiple computers in an internet connection.) So, to use your PSP or other equipment in the system is required a router. Get a good wireless router and can be configured to work with your PSP. However, if the signal that you are from a another building of his "base" is a different matter. Wireless routers are limited in scope when the "OPEN", which is usually about 300-500 meters. (Notice when OPEN), this is the Show row devices. The signals pass through some walls (do not steal or aluminum very well), but each "block" wall degrading the signal somewhat. While Normally, when a router is in a house, the signal covers the inside (depenting size the house!), but on a very limited range. To increase this range, you can get routers with "removable" antennas that can add an antenna "Out" to get a better grasp. So if you can use this in his "office" all depends on what is between his office and home, how they are close and how much energy and what type of antenna is the router. But we must add a router! Good Luck hope that helps
What can a Nokia N95 actually do?
I know that i can use it as a sat nav but ive heard that i need to pay for that service, how much would it cost me to get navigation on it?, i know it has wifi, so does that mean it has an internet browser similar to the psp? if it does have an internet browser then can it play: youtube videos? veoh videos? google video?. How about playing flash games on it such as bloons tower defense? does it have an mp3 player on it similar to the walkman feature on sony ericsson phones?
thanks
Pros: Covers everything: High End Camera, Awesome and Very LOUD music player, Large 2.8″ screen, GPS Navigation, Full Web Support, 30fps REAL Video Recording, Calendar, etc. It does everything very, very well. It really is a small computer with a phone tacked on. Many programs avail to download and install. Catches a lot of eyes and people always ask me what phone I have. Equalizer has presets and a manual mode as well. Auto-rotating screen. I usually upgrade my to a new phone every 6-8 months (and my fiance hates it). Not this phone. I haven’t even had the urge to do so! I currently have 9 full Family Guy episodes on the phone (as well as hundreds of songs encoded at 192kb/s) and still have about 2GB of free space. Speedy dual-core processor makes phone very responsive. I have had several applications (web, music player, messaging, image viewer, tools, etc.) opened at once and the phone keeps chugging along. Can’t go wrong with this one.
Cons: It is a bit bulky but fits good in my jean pockets. The slider has to be open for GPS to get a good signal. You CAN use the GPS for free but only get Voice Navigation for 3 day trial. The screen, although beautiful and large, is hard to keep clean. I found the typical hot breath and rub on clean shirt doesn’t shine it up like previous phones. Carry an eyeglass cloth with you. Expensive. Cannot adjust message tone volume independently from the ring tone. Getting album art to work on phone is a pain (when compared to Sony Ericsson music phones). No Removable memory which would be nice so that I can print pictures at Walgreens kiosk.
Other Thoughts: On slow web connections, like my T-moble EDGE do NOT use the internal web browser. Terribly slow. However, Opera Mini 4 is a dream come true. This will make your connections fly (like my friends 3G connection on his phone)! I love it! I am not trying to pump up Opera Mini 4 or anything, but it is quite literally an awesome program and makes web browsing a breeze…a very fast breeze.
Although this phone isn’t perfect, it is like a Swiss Army Phone in that it covers everything. It was either the iPhone or the N95 8GB for me and once I tried my friends iPhone for a while, texting is impossible so I had to find another high end phone and went with the N95 8GB. I love having my fiance drive when we travel (although she doesn’t like it) while I navigate using Google Maps coupled with the GPS in the phone. Very handy. Nokia Maps is pretty good but after playing with Google Maps, I have converted to Google. No there is no voice navigation but that is something you pay 4 w/Nokia
Nokia’s N95 will revolutionize the way you think about your phone. It will work worldwide on 4 bands and 2 modes, and it will auto-switch between them for maximum call clarity. But today’s phones are about more than just clear speech. The N95 has everything you need to manage your life in a slim stylish package.
It comes with 100MB of dynamic memory for messages, video clips, notes and to-lists. The big number is the 8GB of flash memory for music, pictures, videos and map data. You can load the music player with music in the most common formats and OMA DRM 2.0 and WMDRM are supported. The 5 mega-pixel camera has Carl Zeiss optics and can take pictures up to 2592×1944 or up to 3.4 hours of 640×480 video.
Once you’ve taken the pictures or video you can send them to the people in your contact list either by picture message or email. After you’ve texted your friends where to meet you, you can sit back and surf the web with the 802.11b/g connection. It’s your life, take control with Nokia.
HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS!!!
