wireless network disconnects when the PC starts.?
My sister has a Sony VAIO laptop with built in wireless b adapter / G. Each time you start your PC, or wakes up from sleep, the whole network is disconnected for a second. But this may not seem like much, but bugs on the devil's love my mother because she is online all the time to chat with your friends through Yahoo Messenger. I was angry, also, when I download it on my PS3 or my computer. I think it starts the phone calls, because using Vonage. Does anyone believe that I have make a manual IP address for my sisters laptop? My Wii, PS3, PSP, laptop and my mother all the wireless applications and it never happens again. Only my sister's laptop.
Mr. Dee has the right idea. but I have the Ethernet cable from the modem and connect it directly to the WAN / LAN port on your router wireless side of the PC with the cable. then your PC connected to a router. or you can go to network connections on your laptop, right-click the wireless connection, click Properties, configure, activate tab advanced configuration, the activation of magic and direct. then click the tab Power management and make sure that wireless is "always" or uncheck the box that says Allow the computer to turn off this device to save energy. Wireless networks with cable broadband?
I’m trying to connect my nintendo ds, wii and sony psp to the net using wireless connected my virgin media cable broadband connection. I have no knowledge of wireless but i’ve been told this is suitable:

P.S. Wireless usb keys don’t work with my pc because i use a bridge to connect to my internet (apparently… ?_?)
The standard procedure is to connect a router’s WAN port to the modem’s Ethernet feed.
You connect downstream devices to the Router’s wired LAN ports or to the Router’s wireless ports if you have a wireless capability on the LAN devices and on the router.
If you are moderatly analytical and follow directions well, you may be successful in installing the wireless router. From your e mail I feel that you are probably so light weight in this that you need help from an experienced network individual.
