Wireless network DHCP errors.?
Hello. I have a Linksys WRT54G router and my ISP is Time Warner (cable). Normally, my internet is very well. I have the modem connected to the router, which has a network adapter connected to another power line adapter in another room, and other equipment connected directly to the router. Normally, the router has no problem when I connect to it with my PSP or Nintendo DS. Sometimes, however, when you use a laptop to connect to the router, sometimes a few mistakes. Sometimes I can connect without problem. Often, either the laptop can not connect or power line and the adapter does not work. Each time one of the computers are not connected, gives me particular IP address that shows that there is a DHCP error. It's not always happen, but it will very often, so I was wondering how I could resolve this problem, or if there are adjustments in the router configuration to be changed. Thank you
Powerline adapters is always fun. Honestly, I would get another wireless modem strategically placed around the house because the walls of your house should be strong enough. Powerline adapters are taking a risk.
Can I connect a router to my cable modem?
I am hoping to set up a wireless network in my home so I can play my PSP and Nintendo DS online. Currently, I have cable internet. The internet cable runs into my Motorola SB5101 Cable Modem ( http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/US-EN/Consumer-Product-and-Services/Cable-Modems-and-Gateways/SURFboard-Cable-Modem-SB5101-US-EN ), then an ethernet cord runs from the modem into my PC.
What I’m wondering is, if I were to buy a wireless router (such as the Netgear WGR614 — http://www.walmart.com/ip/NETGEAR-WGR614-Wireless-G-54Mbps-Broadband-Router/2304416 ), could I alter my current setup so that the ethernet cord from my Cable Modem runs into the Router (instead of my PC), thus creating a wireless internet connection that I can use with my DS/PSP? Or will the router not work that way?

Yes you can connect it just like you said, with modem to router, and router to pc and other devices to router via wireless connection
